PHILOSOPHY
Since 2003 we have been developing CBi’s working philosophy, which is based on a combination of the ancient Chinese theory of Wu Xing and modern western management.
Our mantra is Observe, Learn, Ask, and Interact. Following it helps us empower our internal process and positively impacts on areas such as customer relations, sales, design research, creativity and overall strategy. It is at the core of how we engage clients and help them utilize our training and consulting services, which follow the "Five Elements of Innovation".

Observe
- Through observation we strive to gain perspective and a high level of understanding of both the big and little picture.
- Identify the key priorities, long-term and short-term vision of our clients, users and even ourselves.
- Keen observation strengthens our ability to learn.
Learn
- We pride ourselves on being grounded in the past and present reality of key issues.
- We learn about previous and current obstacles that impact success and failure.
- Our passions for learning through observation gives us a strong foundation for asking the right questions.
Ask
- By asking the right questions we become more efficient at finding patterns, gaps and actionable insights.
- We identify and utilize appropriate combinations of research methodologies and expertise to gain deeper levels of data.
- When we have gathered sufficient information from observation, learning and asking, we are then able to interact with confidence from a clear and informed perspective.
Interact
- From our previous efforts we are able to identify tangible solutions or guidelines that will more accurately meet or exceed the value required by clients or end users.
- Interaction, provides us and our clients with the ability create measurable guidelines, strategies, prototypes, training and consulting engagements that deliver results.
